I was commissioned by Poems About You to create an animation showcasing their landscape set of handmade pan watercolors. I was sent the set which I used to create a collection of painted swatches that I then manipulated digitally to create this animation.
All animating was done in Photoshop and put together in Final Cut Pro.
Each illustration contains traditional and digital elements. Poems About You requested that the character be a woman as it was reflective of their core customer base.
Storyboarding was generally left up to me.
Preliminary sketches. I like to create a series of options for clients to choose from that are as fleshed out as possible. This gives a clear idea to the client and ensures there won't be any confusion on my part. For the character of the artist I created mix and match options for different genders and ethnicities for the client to choose from.
